My name is Lilas Fischer and I came to love Boxers in the old familiar way.  My parents brought home a boxer puppy we named Samson when I was 12 years old.  As you know once you are loved by a Boxer there really is no other dog that can cause quite the same stir in your heart.

In 1975 I married a wonderful guy by the name of Grant who I must admit was a challenge when it comes to dogs.  A farm boy who grew up with Shepherds and mixes he couldn’t wrap his mind around a Boxer.  In 1983 we moved to Calgary, to a home where I thought we really should get a dog, I was ready, the kids were ready.  My husband wanted something small & fluffy.  I finally put my foot down, insisting since I was the one going to look after the beast it was going to be my choice of beast.  Knowing no better, like most of the public, I started watching the newspaper for a likely candidate.  My husband came rushing in one evening saying he had seen a lady in her front yard with boxers & had stopped the car and introduced himself with the line “ Hi, my wife is crazy about Boxers, do you think we could come & walk your dogs sometime.”  I still don’t know why she didn’t call the police on this crazy man but she seemed to understand.  She actually said sure, bring your wife over.  This was the very strange start of a wonderful friendship with Jodi Martin of Westsett Boxers.

When I was ready, Jodi became my mentor and found a wonderful bitch puppy for me.  She is a Turo’s Kristian Dior daughter, Ch Cordinator’s Sparks & Sparkles and even my husband was instantly under Tasha’s spell.  It just so happened that at this time my husband’s younger sister, Lori Ann Fischer, was starting her career in conformation handling.  There really was no hesitation.  Lori Ann became my handler and is, to this day, the very pretty lady on the end of the leash of all Myohmy Boxers.  Tasha finished from the puppy classes and was bred to AM/CAN/ Ch Golden Haze Tuxedo. From this litter we kept a beautiful male, Lando, Ch Myohmy’s Magnificent Obsession, SOM.  We purchased a pretty fawn puppy from Jodi Martin, her name is CH Westsett’s Myohmy Breezin By, DOM.  She was sire by Am/Can Ch Ajay’s Alfred Sung.  Bree was all my husband’s idea and is his dog in every way ( I did say he had come around to the proper way of thinking) .  Bree and Lando were mated twice and produced 7 Champion get, but listening to all the advice I took in about not keeping anything that is not as good as what you have I realized these two had just not given me what, in my mind, were the type of Boxer I really wanted. The offspring were nice dogs just not the direction I wanted to go. Then some health issues surfaced and I knew I had to start over.  I was friendly with Merv & Sandy Bilton of MGM Boxers and really liked the dogs they were producing.  We decided to enter into a co breeding arrangement.  It took awhile but I was finally able to bring home Kelly, Ch MGM Cynra’s Autumn Mist.  She has been the dream dog.  You can read of her accomplishments on her page.  I hope Kelly and her offspring will be the future of the new Myohmy Boxers
